Ralf Brandstätter’s Visit at ATJ

On May 15^th, Mr. Ralf Brandstätter, Chairman & CEO of VGC visited Volkswagen Automatic Transmission (Tianjin) Co., Ltd. (VWATJ).

Mr. Heiko Knatz, VWATJ General Manager Technical, and Mr. Bernd Averes, VWATJ General Manager Commercial introduced the Company’s current status, showed Mr. Brandstätter around the production lines of competitive transmission and new energy products, including DQ38x/50x, DQ400e, APP290 and APP310. After that, led by Mr. Ludwig Wittmann, Head of Technical Development, Mr. Brandstätter visited E-Drive Prototype Manufacturing Center (EPMC) and Development & Analysis Center (EAZ). After the plant tour, they had an in-depth discussion on VWATJ’s measures and potential challenges in the face of transformation.

In the afternoon, component strategy meeting organized by VCIC was held in Forum meeting room. During this meeting, the current status, the strategy and the transformation towards NEV in Volkswagen Group Components were deeply discussed.

As the largest green-field transmission producer of the Volkswagen Group in China, ATJ is always committed to provide innovative and premium automotive components to Chinese consumers. Entering the new era of the auto industry, ATJ will continue to accelerate its pace of localization and transformation to keep up with “China’s speed”, thus pushing ahead the group’s “In China, For China” strategy.
