1. I submitted my application. When can I expect a feedback?

Our Hiring Team will contact you within two weeks after we received your application. Please make sure that your contact detailsare correct and reachable.

2. How should I prepare for an interview?

During the interview you should convince us that you are motivated to work for us. We are looking for pro-active, open-minded and curious people – show us in the interview that you are a good fit not only in technical expertise, but also in character.

Besides motivation, we also place great importance on diligence and precision – those are indispensable attributes for a company working with high-end technology. Show us that you embody those attributes by providing clear and well-structured documents as well as by thorough preparation of the interview.

3. Will Volkswagen cover travel cost which may arise for a face to face interview in Tianjin?

After you passed the phone interview, our HR Business Partner will contact you to arrange a face to face interview. Depending on your location, we could either reimburse the cost for travelling or alternatively arrange a video-conference in case an on-site interview is not feasible. Your contact person from the HR department will notify you in advance.

4. What kind of training is available for me when starting at Volkswagen Automatic Transmission Tianjin? What kind of training exists?

During the first two days new colleagues receive a thorough introduction to our company’s general working standards. After this training, the individual business units take over the induction, as they are in the best situation to assess the demands and requirements.

5. Do I have the opportunity to work at other locations within the Volkswagen Group?

Unless stated otherwise in the job description, on this website you will find information about and open vacancies of Volkswagen Tianjin plant. In some cases we can offer employees to participate in international exchange programs, e.g. iTEP (international Talent Exchange Program), to get to know other entities of Volkswagen. However, as a new production site with a high demand for new employees our focus is on hiring employees who are interested in a long-term employment in Tianjin.
